How Does It Work?

Tiny micro laser beams deliver heat energy below the skin without damaging the skin’s surface, heating the tissue in a carefully controlled way. As the body heals, the damaged skin sloughs off, revealing skin that appears more youthful and refreshed. Additionally, the tiny channels created by the laser beams enable the body to efficiently absorb topical skincare serums to enhance the results.

Special serums with vitamin A, vitamin C, resveratrol, and tranexamic acid are applied to the treatment area immediately after the procedure. A post-procedure cooling mask is applied to calm and deeply hydrate the skin.

Ablative vs. Non-Ablative Lasers

The first lasers used for skin resurfacing were ablative lasers that essentially sandblasted the skin’s surface. The results were impressive, but the associated downtime and the risk of infections or scarring limited the appeal of these lasers. Popular fractional lasers minimized skin damage.
