For both men and women, hair loss can range from merely embarrassing to downright traumatic. Preventative Medical Clinic offers advanced hair restoration techniques for Omaha men and women who are struggling with thinning hair or baldness. People concerned about hair loss in Papillion, Elkhorn, Council Bluffs, Bennington, and surrounding areas choose Preventative Medical Clinic for hair restoration treatments.
PRP for Hair Restoration
Much like its predecessor, the Vampire Facelift®, the so-called “Vampire hair treatment” uses platelet-rich plasma technology sourced from the patient’s own blood to stimulate the follicles and induce hair growth.
PRP is a regenerative technology that deploys aspects of your own biochemistry. The 8 growth factors that are released from the platelets naturally begin to repair and strengthen the specific tissues where they’re administered. The procedure is performed in the following steps:
- Local anesthetic injections are injected into the scalp to ensure the area is numb
- The scalp is then stimulated with a dermaroller
- Once the syringes are ready, the PRP is injected into the scalp, primarily in the areas of concern
The incredible service you expect from Kohll’s is at the core of what we do here at Preventative Medical Clinic. When you visit us for a cosmetic or wellness appointment, you can anticipate the personal, knowledgeable care that’s been our hallmark for more than 70 years.

The comfortable, outpatient procedure takes less than 1 hour to perform. Patients may resume all activities, including workouts and shampooing, right away.
Though PRP treatment yields great results for people suffering from hair loss, it’s not for everyone. People who have lost all hair cannot undergo this treatment as it does not help grow new hair on a bald patch. It can only make the existing thinning hair thicker by strengthening the hair follicles.
The PMC Difference
Not all PRP technology is alike. The quality, strength, and durability of the PRP hair regrowth treatments are directly related to:
- The preparation protocols
- Centrifuge settings
- Preparation kits
The use of ECM (BioD or ACell)
And, most importantly, the training of the staff (PMC is proud to be trained by Charles Runnels, the inventor of the Vampire® treatments.)
At PMC, we use either the FDA-approved AutoloGel PRP process or YES PRP system to separate and activate platelet-rich plasma for use as a stand-alone therapy or in conjunction with hair transplantation.
Some men and women concerned about hair loss join our hair restoration membership program, which offers savings on the KeraLase™ (LaseMD Laser with KeraFactor®) laser hair loss treatment.
Safety & Results
Since all the material used in PRP is exclusively from your own body, no allergic reactions or intolerance has ever been reported in several thousand papers written on the subject. Mild soreness and redness of the scalp, if any, resolves in less than a day and improved hair growth can be measured in a matter of weeks.
The optimum results can be seen at three months. At this stage, the decision on a possible second treatment is made. PRP to treat hair loss has been championed by many surgeons quietly for the past few years, and studies underway are showing promising results: The procedure does stimulate the growth of new hair follicles.
As with any hair regrowth treatment, results initially can be subtle. At PMC, we know that our PRP protocol provides significant stimulation of hair regrowth and hair follicle rejuvenation, measurable with HairCheck trichometry, in just weeks.
