Are dermal fillers safe?
We use only FDA-approved dermal fillers and screen each patient carefully to minimize any side effects, making these treatments safe for our patients.
Are fillers better than BOTOX® Cosmetic?
While both fillers and BOTOX are injectables used for facial rejuvenation, they address different concerns. One is not better than the other. Here is a brief comparison:
Fillers replace volume under the skin to smooth wrinkles, fill in hollows, and augment areas like the cheeks, nose, chin, and lips. Results are instant.
BOTOX smooths away lines caused by repeated muscle contractions such as crow’s feet, frown lines between the eyebrows, and horizontal forehead creases. Results develop within a few days.
Are fillers reversible?
If you are unhappy with the results from JUVÉDERM and other hyaluronic acid fillers, we can dissolve them with injections of an enzyme called hyaluronidase. Results may take 2 to 3 days to achieve. Non-hyaluronic acid fillers, like Sculptra, are not reversible.
What’s the best lip filler?
The filler for lip injections depends on the look you want and the current volume of your lips. JUVÉDERM makes multiple fillers, such as VOLBELLA and JUVÉDERM Ultra, that provide beautiful lip enhancement.
Is the treatment painful?
Our fillers contain lidocaine to minimize discomfort during the injections. Topical numbing cream is available for those concerned about pain.
Is there anything I should avoid following my filler treatment?
There is no downtime needed after filler treatments. We recommend avoiding vigorous exercise for 24 hours. To minimize bruising, avoid alcohol and NSAIDs like ibuprofen as directed.
